Accessing Rental Details With Your Mobile

If you have come across a participating apartment building you will see text messaging details displayed on the door, in a window or on external signage. With your mobile device send a text message to the short code 27848 with the building access code you have seen. Once you submit the message request, you will receive a “Welcome” message. Simply follow the directions to have the apartment details sent immediately to your mobile device.
To obtain details on a different unit in the same building as you have previously requested details, you must resubmit your request to RentsToGo by again texting the building access code to 27848.

Receiving a Text Message from RentsToGo

If you have received a “Welcome” text message from RentsToGo you have likely requested apartment details on a property that has been listed with RentsToGo.

To get started simply follow the instructions in the ‘Welcome” text message you received. You will receive apartment details for which you are interested by selecting from the options presented to you.

If you did not send a text message to RentsToGo please disregard the message you received. RentsToGo apologizes for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you have received a text message from RentsToGo and requested additional info by replying “3″ you will have been directed to this webpage on our website. Please review details on this page for more information.

Requesting “Help” from RentsToGo

If you have received a text message from RentsToGo and requested additional info by replying “3″ and then requesting “Help” by replying “2″ you will have been directed to this webpage on our website. Please review details on this page for additional help.

If you wish to subscribe to RentsToGo’s Premium service you must first visit our website at www.rents-to-go.com and register for the service.

Once you are registered you must define your search criteria and select your delivery options. Once set, RentsToGo will automatically search, match and deliver apartment details direct to your mobile device as the details become available.

You may access RentsToGo through any of the major Canadian mobile carriers.

Terminating the Service

If you do not wish to be contacted by RentsToGo in the future, please text message “stop” to the 27848. RentsToGo will discontinue any future correspondence with you.

If you have used RentsToGo and you do not wish to be contacted via your mobile concerning promotional considerations, please text message “stop” to 27848. RentsToGo will discontinue providing you with future promotional considerations.

If you have subscribed to RentsToGo’s Premium service and wish to stop receiving property details from RentsToGo, text message “stop” to 27848 and RentsToGo will discontinue delivery of details to your mobile device. Alternately, you may access your account online and disable the SMS broadcast option on your automatic search profile.

Landlord Follow-Up

RentsToGo will inquire with you as to whether you are interested in receiving a follow-up call from the landlord or property manager of the building for which you have received details. Once the apartment details you have requested have been delivered by RentsToGo we will send you a text message asking if you would like to receive a follow-up. If you are not interested and do not wish to receive a follow-up you may simply ignore the text message.

If you will to receive a follow-up from the landlord or property manager please reply “1″ to the request and RentsToGo will notify the landlord or property manager of your interest.

In the event you have requested a follow-up from a participating landlord or property manager and not received a callback, RentsToGo makes no claim nor can it take any responsibility for the failure of participating landlords and property managers to following-up on your lead request.

Do I need to subscribe to use this service?

To use the RentalCast basic service you do not need to subscribe to RentsToGo. When you see a participating building simply text the code provided to immediately receive details about a property.
If, however, you are interested, RentsToGo offers Premium service for which you must sign-up. With this Premium service, RentsToGo will send you apartment details direct to your mobile device based on specific criteria you define. This service is available through a small monthly subscription.

How Much does this cost me?

No fee is charged by RentsToGo to access the RentalCast Basic service. Your standard text messaging rates for your carrier plan will, however, apply when you send a message to RentsToGo requesting accommodation details.

How do I subscribe to the RentsToGo Premium service?

What does it cost to use RentsToGo?

There is no cost to use the RentsToGo RentalCast Basic service. If, however, you chose to subscribe to our Premium targeted service a monthly subscription fee is required.

Do I pay a charge to my cell phone company to download the property listing?

Your standard text messaging rates for your carrier plan apply when you send a message to RentsToGo requesting accommodation details.

Do I need to be signed up with a specific cell phone company?

No you do not need to be subscribed with a particular cell phone company. RentsToGo works with all the major cell phone companies in Canada. We will be adding functionality with US based carriers shortly.

Do I need any other device to receive property listings?

No other device or software is required on the part of a regular cell phone subscriber to receive property listings from RentsToGo.

I have joined RentsToGo service and received details on a rental accommodation. How do I obtain details on another building?

Provided the building you are interested in participates with RentsToGo, you will be able to access the details by re-sending another text message with the new building access code. Please note you will not have to rejoin the system a second time.

I was presented with the option of receiving details on a 3 or a 4 bedroom accommodation and I choose the 3 bedroom. I would now like to see the details on the 4 bedroom. How do I do that?

In order to obtain the details on the 3 bedroom you will have to re-request the details from RentsToGo by sending another text message with the building access code as before. Please note you will not have to rejoin the system a second time.

I do not wish to use RentsToGo in the future. How can I ensure you do not contact me?
